As we approach the end of 2016 it is important to take some time and reflect on the year that has almost been and gone and what has gone right and what has gone wrong. Reflection often gives us the ability to realise what we deserve and what we want out of life.
At MUSQ we truly believe that reflecting allows us to analyse our life and to see what’s working and what’s not. We like to focus on our mistakes made, as we believe that no mistake is wrong if a lesson is learnt and put into practice allowing us to build and grow. It also helps prevent them in the future 😉 By reflecting we can begin to take conscious action and change the path of our destiny.
“By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.” – Confucius
Find a quiet spot to take some time out and stop and think about life. For some they like to reflect whilst exercising, others prefer to chat with a colleague or friend. Whatever suits you best just take the time and do it! Write a list of pro & cons and what goals you want to set for the New Year. Reflection allows us the time to think and develop new ideas, visions and direction.
“Without reflection, we go blindly on our way, creating more unintended consequences, and failing to achieve anything useful.” - Margaret J. Wheatley
Ask yourself; what did I achieve in 2016? What and why would I have done differently? What am I grateful for? What did I learn this year? What did I accomplish this year? What would I have done differently?
From the MUSQ team to you, we wish you all a wonderful and safe New Year. Here’s to a happy year ahead and remember you can change your life by changing your thoughts…
